Events

What good is four days with 700 of your peers without the chance to connect?

HighEdWeb is proud of its vibrant, active community and is pleased to provide events to bring that community together. We hope to see you there!

Hackathon 2013

Monday, 7 p.m.-finished

Calling all programmers, writers, designers, project managers – EVERYONE at HighEdWeb! Help us give back to our host city of Buffalo, NY through Hackathon 2013. We’ll join together to create a new, mobile-friendly website for The Ride For Roswell, an annual cycling event that benefits research and patient care programs at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Fueled by food, beverages (provided by Red Bull!), music, prizes, and just the fun of a great project, we’ll create the new site in the space of a single night.

HighEdWeb AfterDark

Excursion: Asbury Hall

Tuesday, 6:30-10:30 p.m.

Join us Tuesday night as we celebrate HighEdWeb in style at Asbury Hall — aka “Babeville,” located in downtown Buffalo at the crossroads of three National and Local Historic Districts, and home to Ani DiFranco’s Righteous Babe records. We’ll spend the evening munching heavy hors d'oeuvres, enjoying great local music, and visiting with friends new and old — and we’d guess there will be a few fun activities and surprises, too, as you’ve come to expect and enjoy with #heweb.

Shuttle Information

  • Shuttles will loop between Hyatt Regancy Buffalo and Asbury Hall from 6-11 p.m.
  • A separate shuttle will loop between Holiday Inn Downtown-Buffalo, Comfort Suites Downtown and Asbury Hall from 6-11 p.m.
